Extensive copper jewelry updates!

In the last few weeks I've added many different copper jewelry items to the store.  I believe the count is up to 24 new copper jewelry items added including a couple of patterns with beaded bracelets for all of you who want the great benefits of handmade copper jewelry but also want a little more than the bland copper color.  Soon I'll also be adding a number of copper necklaces too!  I've already added one, and next on my agenda is to get every pattern possible of copper jewelry necklaces, then add a splash of color with glass beads!

10 new copper bracelets added!

I've just finished listing 10 new copper bracelets!  They are queens chain pattern with colored beads.  The beads allow me to make the chains faster as fewer links are added by me so there is a price drop from the solid copper queens chain bracelets, and they qualify for the 5% off summer sale!  So get them while they are hot!  Each bracelet has three beads in one of ten colors: Amber, Jet Black, Blue, Clear, Emerald Green, Light Harlequin, Red, Rose, Seafoam Green, and Yellow.

Check them out and see for yourself what a splash of color can do for an already fun bracelet design.

Archmaille Designs Site Redesign

Wow, so if you've been to the site before you're seeing a whole new shopping cart in place!  It's gonna be pretty amazing, even though it looks pretty drab right now.  The template isn't far off from the default template, but that will be changing very soon... and somewhat slowly as I work on putting things in order.  Slowly the site will come to life and be ready to make lots o' money!  haha, well maybe not lots, but the goal is to make a living from it for a while.

The first thing that I want to talk about is the awesome new feature present in the new shopping cart... and that is (drum roll please) affiliate programs!  Anyone who is a registered user of the site can now guide people to the site via the affiliate program link and make 10% of all sales!  Seriously, how could you not love that?  You can make money from my work, my art, my passion!

Happy Thanksgivings Day!!

Hey everyone, it’s Thanksgiving, and you know what that means right? Family, food, and lots of reminders of what God has given to us all throughout the year. I have a lot of great things to be thankful for. Especially over the last few months things have been really good. First off after getting sick of working for Viacom I was blessed with the fantastic work in blogging… not great pay, but it covers the bills and is a lot more creative of an endeavor than reviewing websites all day long. Writing over 1,200 words a day gets tiring too… I took a week of light blogging only about 300-400 words a day, and nothing on the weekends. My income dropped drastically but it gave me the rest I needed to get back into things and continue blogging :-P Which is good because a few smaller jobs that I was looking for in the meantime will only be available after January.

Now there is also a little hope on being able to run ArchmailleDesigns and do light blogging to keep up on the bills. The shopping cart that I use for this site has just been redesigned… now it’ll cost me to keep the updates coming, but they allowed everyone who has purchased a copy of it to get the new version for free. There are two features that particularly intrigue me. First off the addition of being able to sell downloadable items. I’d like to create some PDFs on jewelry care and techniques… then some on chainmail creation and sell them super cheap so I can make a couple bucks a day. Couple dollars a day from that, couple dollars a day from advertisement clicks on kclanparty.org, $25 bucks a day from blogging, and then building capital for a few months working at LifeTouch. That should give me the foothold to be able to start listing my products on ClickJunction… let other people sell my products for me :-P The next favorite item on the new shopping cart is the ability to create widgets so I can put things on other peoples sites, blogs, etc. to where they can purchase directly from the other sites! :-D

Handmade Sterling Silver Jewelry

Hey guys! I'm doing my best to get the store updated. If you've noticed the flash banner has replaced the old image. I would like it to be a little more spiffy, but that's going to take time and it's one thing at a time for right now. Those of you who have been here before may have noticed that I added images to the front page with samples of jewelry pieces from each category so that you can better navigate the site.\r\nNow you're probably wondering why the title of this entry is Handmade sterling silver jewelry huh? Well that's simple, because that is going to be my focus for a little while around here. Unfortunately it takes a GREAT deal of silver to make the Japanese Chainmail jewelry pieces and I've used most of my silver stock up trying to get all the Japanese jewelry pieces made that I could. I'm going to do my best to get everything that I currently have in stock on the site so that you have a variety to choose from, It's up to you to purchase those items so that I can create more unique pieces, as well as fill up my existing line of products.

Lacking online stock

Those of you who were at the St. Louis Renaissance Festival and are now here looking for it I'm sorry if I do not have what you are looking for. If you know what it was you were looking for feel free to email me and yell at me for not having it on the site. If you don't remember please be patient with me. Even though I do part time webpage design along with this business, updating the catalog on here is one of the most tedious things that I have to do, and honestly hate it. I would much rather be actually working on creating new jewelry than to sit here uploading new products, it's a very slow tedious process that drives me crazy. I know, strange huh? Coming from me who can sit for hours on end linking together minuscule rings to create the most intricate patterns, yes there are things that annoy me and just plain drive me crazy to have to sit and do, this happens to be one of them. Tiana has agreed to help me with jewelry descriptions, so that will also help speed along the process.

As far as custom work goes it will be another couple of weeks before I can get back to all of that. Heading up to St. Louis on Friday we got into a car accident... luckily all of the displays and jewelry were fine, some other stuff that was in the trunk however such as my pliers and other tools I have were annihilated. I am working to put in an order with the jewelry company that I purchase from to get a new set along with more silver wire and some other things that I've run out of. Until this order comes in I'm kind of stuck, but soon I will gladly be able to get back to custom work.
