Port Wine

There’s nothing like finishing off a long day of jewelry creations with a nice bottle of Port Wine! I’m not much of a drinker, in fact rarely drink anything at all, but when I do my wife and I like to share a few glasses of a fine wine. It really just helps both of us relax and enjoy the rest of the day together. A good port wine is perfect for those strolls through the park where we can sit down and have a little picknick too! Don’t get me wrong, I like all types of wine, many California wines are very good, and I’ve had wines from other countries that I enjoyed greatly as well… but there’s something about the Portugese fortified wines they produce. If you’ve never tried a good wine from Portugal I seriously urge you to visit PortWine2U.com they have an amazing selection of Port Wine that I’m pretty sure none of you will be disatisfied with ;-) You may not be as into Port Wine as I am, it’s all about what you are acustomed to, some people love California wines, or Wine from Italy may strike your fancy. But if you’ve not had it, it is most certainly worth the time and money to get a bottle of Port Wine… who knows, you may end up like me and love the way it tastes and goes down.

Port is different to fine wine as the history of it is that 2 english guys were importing barrels of wine from Portugal and it was going sour by the time it got to England by ship, so the two guys added a bottle of brandy to each barrel to stop it going off, and port (from the port of Opporto was born.
